The Graduate Certificate in Research Methodology is a postgraduate award for students preparing for a Higher Degree by Research, and requires completion of 3 postgraduate units. It enables students to survey a range of research methodologies, and to undertake a short piece of original research. It consists of 1 unit in Research Methodology and a Minor Thesis of 16,000 words (worth 2 units). Currently the recommended Research unit is offered through the Catholic Theological College (CTC), and is available in Semester 1 only each year.
COST: $2,640 per post-graduate unit.
ADMISSION CRITERIA: Successful completion of an undergraduate degree, or an approved equivalent.
FOLLOW ON STUDY: If graduates have already completed a Graduate Diploma in Theology, or Master of Theological Studies with a Distinction–High Distinction average, they may be eligible to apply to study a Higher Degree by Research.
