Biography

Fr Daniel brings a wealth of experience in administration, governance, compliance and academia, and has been involved with SAC since its inception in the year 2001 and was instrumental in working to achieve the College’s milestone of gaining accreditation in 2011. Fr Daniel served as the College principal from 2018 – 2025. He has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology from the University of Melbourne, and a Diploma in Theology from the University of Divinity. Ordained to the priesthood in 2002, Fr Daniel serves as the senior priest at the parish of Archangel Michael’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Oakleigh, Melbourne. Currently serving as the Vicar-General of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne, he is also the director of the Coptic Aged-Care facility at Hallam. At SAC, Fr Daniel lectures in Pastoral Theology and Ministry Studies, and is an advisor to the College Council.
