Fr Shenouda has a Master of Theological Studies from the University of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, USA. His doctoral thesis was entitled: “Towards an Orthodox Understanding of Gender: A Theological Framework to Support Clergy in Their Ministry of Those Suffering Gender Dysphoria.” Former President of the Victorian Council of Churches (2019 – 2021), at SAC, Fr Shenouda serves as a member of SAC’s governing board, and a lecturer in “Christian Ethics in the Orthodox Tradition”. Ordained to the priesthood in 2007, Fr Shenouda serves at the Coptic Orthodox Church parish of St James in Melbourne.
