Fr Antonios earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Macquarie University and is now undertaking research focused on Natural Theology within the Eastern Christian tradition. His scholarly interests have primarily involved Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Science, especially exploring phenomenal consciousness and its connection to attention. Among his latest works are the book This Great Mystery of Life: An Introduction to the Coptic Orthodox Church and a chapter about the Indigenous Voice to Parliament featured in “Statements from the Soul: The moral case for the Uluru Statement from the Heart.” He teaches Philosophy and Apologetics at St Cyril’s Coptic Orthodox Theological College in Sydney. Additionally, Fr Antonios serves at the Coptic Orthodox Church parish of Archangel Michael and St. Bishoy in Sydney.
His research interests include phenomenal consciousness, Natural Theology, Apologetics,
Liturgical Theology and Mystical Theology.
