Through his service and ministry, Fr Abanoub has developed an interest in Counselling and Family Therapy and accordingly, since 1995 has pursued studies in the areas of Mental Illness and Counselling. He holds a number of Graduate Diplomas in Theology, Family Therapy, Mental Health Science, Counselling, and Supervision, as well as a Master of Counselling from Monash University, Melbourne, and a D.Min. from University of Divinity/Abilene Christian University, Texas. Fr Abanoub was ordained to the priesthood in 1991 and serves as the senior priest at the parish of St Mina’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Hallam, Melbourne.
