Description

The fundamental question that we will address in this course is: How does the Church educate its faithful? In order to answer this question, we will explore foundational educational questions so that students may begin to express theological/theoretical concepts about “religious education” and can begin to gain practical experience in the design and implementation of “religious education” programs. These foundational questions are: • Why does the Church educate? • How has the Church educated in history? • What is the curriculum in the life of the parish? • Who are we teaching? • What are some approaches to the education of Christians? • Who is going to teach?
