Associate Professor Youhanna Nessim Youssef serves a senior SAC lecturer; a senior research associate at the Centre for Early Christian Studies at the Australian Catholic University; a senior research fellow of the Centre for Classics and Archaeology at the University of Melbourne; and has taught at the Higher Institute of Coptic Studies in Cairo (1993-1996). His scholarly interests include the study of patristics texts, especially of Severus of Antioch, the Coptic Liturgy, and Coptic Hagiography. Major teaching and research areas include Coptic, Greek, Church History, Patristics and Christian Arabic studies. Associate Professor Youssef has also published a number of books and academic papers.
