Deborah Decru is the Librarian at St Athanasius College. A love of books, an interest in theology, and the desire to help students achieve their potential brought her to the role in 2013. Travels to Israel and Egypt many years ago piqued Deborah’s interest in the area, leading to an undergraduate degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Melbourne University. Following in the footsteps of so many BA recipients before her, Deborah then spent many years working in the banking and insurance industries. A husband and children entered the picture along the way. The decision to change career led to postgraduate studies in Information Management at RMIT, allowing Deborah to find, eventually, the perfect role at SAC. Always approachable, Deborah loves to assist students with their research needs, from the mundane to the more complex. She welcomes every learning opportunity.
